POLYMER CLAY TUTORIAL. TWO COLORED ROSE
In this tutorial I tried to describe how I make roses from baked polymer clay with two-tone petals
For the dark red color, you need Premo 5383 Alizarin Crimson Hue and
Cernit 411 Bordeaux. For light yellow - White, Fimo Mandarin and Cernit Yellow
To roll out a thin layer of clay, you will need a paste machine. Then put them on top of each other
For the base of the rose, you need to make something like a barrel
I don't make the center of the flower two-tone. This part will be hidden under the layers of another petal. Just take a ball of dark red clay and pinch it between your fingers. You need to flatten it very thinly
Then you need to wrap the base with a thin layer of clay. At this stage, the shape of the petal is not important (it is not necessary to make it round)
You need to make 4 thin layers and wrap the base. Make sure that the shape of the middle resembles a rosebud
The next step. Take a thin razor blade and bend it in a semicircle. You need to cut off the petal, as in the picture
To create a realistic texture, you will need a silicone mold
Then attach the thin petals to the bud counterclockwise
Starting with the third texture layer, you need to bend the edge of the petal a little
For the outer petals, you need to make a small depression in the center
You need to make small incisions with a blade or scissors when the flower is ready. Then you need to take green clay to create green rosebud petals.
Bake for 15 minutes at 130C degrees (266F)
To tint the light part of the petals, you will need oil paints dark red and ochre
First we apply ochre
Then red color
