TWO-COLORED ROSE. POLYMER CLAY TUTORIAL
In this tutorial I tried to describe how I make roses from baked polymer clay with two-tone petals
For the dark red color you need Premo 5383 Allzarin Crimson Hue and Cernit 411 Bordeaux. For the soft yellow - White, Fimo Mandarine and Cernit Yellow
To roll out a thin layer of clay you will need a paste machine. Then put them on top of each other
for the base of the rose you need to make a small barrel
I don't make the center of the flower double-colored. This part will be hidden under layers of other petal. So take a ball of dark red clay and press it between your fingers. You need to flatten very thinly
Then you need to wrap the barrel with a thin layer of clay. At this stage the shape of the thin layer is not important
So you need to make 4 thin layers and wrap the barrel. Make sure that the shape of the barrel resembles a rosebud
Next step. Take a thin razor blade and bend it in a semicircle. You need to cut it off like on the pic
To create a realistic texture you will need a silicone mold
Then you also apply thin texture layers to the rosebud counterclockwise
Trom the third texture layer you need to bend the edge of the petal a little
For the outer petals you need to make a small deepeningin the center
You need to make small incisions with a blade or scissors when the flower is ready. Then you need to take the green clay to create the green petals of the rosebud
Then you need to bake for 15 minutes at 130C degrees (266A) For tinting the light part of the petals you need oil paints Dark red and Ochre
